FIMC is purely community supported through volunteering and donations.

One of our goals, to “Provide co-operatively run meditation retreats supported by the generosity of the community.”.

Donations enable us to be able to bring weekly sits, retreats, and other activities to the community. From this generosity we are able to continue these offerings throughout the year.

FIMC is considered a 501.c.3 and your donation today will be considered tax deductible. By donating and providing a current mailing address, you will receive a tax deductible letter identifying the amount donated throughout the year.

Bill Pay

Many banks offer their customers a FREE service to setup automated monthly payments via “Bill Pay”. Please talk to your bank to see if they offer this service. This unique paying method accepts credit, debit cards and PayPal covers all fees! Automated monthly payments are not available with this payment method. How do I make a donation directly to a teacher through FIMC?

Through PayPal, donations to specific teachers can be made.

  • Please note that donations made through the PayPal Giving Fund cannot be directed to specific teachers.

If you would like a donation to directly benefit one of our FIMC Teachers, please select the specific teacher in the optional dropdown. If you would like to donate to multiple teachers, please make a separate donation for each teacher. We have provided a link on our thank you page to ease the process in making subsequent donations.

Is FIMC expecting individuals to renew their pledges for the new year?

We are asking those that are willing to donate to FIMC to make a pledge for the current calendar year. If the amount is different than a pledge made the previous year, and the individual chose the automated recurring method to donate, then yes, FIMC would encourage individuals to make changes to reflect their new pledge for the new year.

Will the pledges made in a previous year continue into next year if we don’t do anything?

If an individual chose to utilize an automatic recurring donation method, that donation will continue until changed or cancelled.

Understanding Automated Recurring Payments

PayPal and BillPay do not understand what an annual (i.e. 2019) FIMC Pledge is nor the time frame—as they are not integrated systems or services. All that these bank services do, is process a payment or payments to FIMC for their clients upon a start date initiated by the individual. Therefore, anyone that has chosen to make a recurring monthly donation previously via PayPal or BillPay will either need to:

  • Change it, if they desire to change to amount donated


  • Cancel it, if they no longer wish to donate to FIMC
In PayPal, when selecting the option: “Make this a monthly donation” the user is shown this message:
  • You’ll authorize PayPal to pay Flagstaff Insight Meditation Community each month. You can change or cancel a recurring donation anytime in your PayPal account settings.

When going through the PayPal process and selecting to make a monthly donation, there is no end date to input. Therefore, these services are active until changed or cancelled.
