We are happy to announce there will be eight Sit & Socials in September & October : Sept 6th, Sept 17th, Sept 20th, Sept 25th, Oct 2nd, Oct 7th, Oct 16th, and Oct 30th. Please consider joining us!
Please note that if it is raining/snowing or not 50 degrees or warmer, a sit will be cancelled.
We would love to keep hosting more of these events and need additional volunteers to keep them going. Thank you to Lore, Susan, Jane, and Barb for volunteering to be hosts! Hosts can set the day/time and location of the Sit & Social each month. Hosts are the greeters and timekeepers for the meditation sit and no experience or guiding the meditation is needed. In Town Sit & Social – These informal gatherings take place in Flagstaff (such as Thorpe park, Bushmaster park, the Tree park) on various weekdays and at various times in the day. There will be at least one FIMC co-host to welcome everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or cushions for sitting. We will try to find accessible locations for people with disabilities and covered spaces during the Monsoon season. We’ll play a meditation app timer for the sit and invite everyone to bring snacks or tea for a social after the sit. PLEASE NOTE: THE DAYS OF THE WEEK, TIME, AND LOCATION MAY CHANGE FROM SIT TO SIT.
